Purchase Memory

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 7, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Purchase Memory, a product by Jiwalu. By using Purchase Memory or its related cloud services, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Purchase Memory

Purchase Memory is a personal purchase-history and purchase-memory application designed to help you record, import, organize, search, and recall information about things you have bought.

Purchase Memory is not an expense tracker, accounting service, bank-account aggregator, tax adviser, marketplace, or financial-advice service.

2. Local-first use

The core Purchase Memory experience is designed to work locally on your device. You may use supported local features without creating a cloud account.

Your local purchase history may include purchases, purchase items, products, merchants, brands, categories, sources, notes, receipts, invoices, screenshots, PDFs, and related data you choose to save.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Some cloud features require a Purchase Memory account. Supported sign-in methods may include Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In.

Signing in does not automatically enable cloud backup and does not by itself upload your local purchase history. You are responsible for maintaining access to the authentication method associated with your account.

4. Receipt imports and automated extraction

Purchase Memory may use OCR, automated document processing, and artificial intelligence to turn receipts or other purchase documents into structured purchase drafts.

Automated extraction can be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing extracted merchant names, dates, product names, quantities, prices, discounts, taxes, totals, and other information before saving or relying on them.

Purchase Memory does not guarantee that any receipt, invoice, screenshot, PDF, or other document will be successfully recognized or extracted.

5. Receipt-import quotas

Purchase Memory may apply receipt-import quotas based on your current plan or entitlement.

Under the current product model, the Free plan includes up to 15 successful receipt imports per month and Pro includes up to 180 successful receipt imports per month. A successful receipt import means the service produces a structured draft that can enter the review flow. Technical failures that do not produce a reviewable draft are not intended to consume quota.

We may change quotas, plan structure, or limits in the future. Material changes affecting paid subscriptions will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the applicable billing provider's rules.

6. Free and Pro plans

Purchase Memory may offer a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. The current product direction is:

  • Free: unlimited local purchase history, unlimited manual entries, local search and matching features, and the Free receipt-import quota.
  • Pro: everything in Free, a higher receipt-import quota, optional Purchase Memory Cloud backup, automatic backup after explicit activation, and cloud restore while the Pro entitlement is active.

Free and Pro are intended to use the same receipt-understanding and product-matching quality. The paid plan primarily adds capacity, convenience, and cloud data-protection features.

7. Purchase Memory Cloud Backup

Cloud Backup is optional and disabled by default. If you explicitly enable it, Purchase Memory may upload encrypted purchase data and encrypted receipt or attachment files to Purchase Memory Cloud.

Cloud Backup is designed as a recovery feature. It reduces the risk of data loss but does not guarantee that data can never be lost, corrupted, delayed, unavailable, or unrecoverable.

You are responsible for keeping your account accessible and for following any backup, restore, subscription, and recovery instructions presented in the app.

8. Existing backups, merge, and replacement

If a previous cloud backup is found after you sign in on a new installation, Purchase Memory may let you restore it or start fresh.

Starting fresh while Cloud Backup remains disabled does not automatically overwrite the existing cloud backup.

If you later enable Cloud Backup while both local data and an existing cloud backup exist, Purchase Memory may offer you a restore-and-merge option. If you instead choose to replace the cloud backup with the current device state, the app will require explicit confirmation because the previous cloud backup may become unavailable after replacement.

9. Disabling or deleting backup

Disabling Cloud Backup stops new automatic backup activity but does not itself delete the existing cloud backup. Deleting a cloud backup is a separate action.

Backup retention after a Pro subscription expires may be limited. The applicable retention policy will be disclosed in the product when finalized. You should not assume that an expired subscription guarantees indefinite cloud retention.

10. Restore and subscription status

Cloud restore is currently a Pro feature. If your Pro subscription has expired, been canceled, or is otherwise inactive, you may need to subscribe again before restoring an available Purchase Memory Cloud backup.

Expiry of Pro does not remove your right to access purchase history that is already stored locally on your device.

11. Subscription billing

Paid subscriptions may be sold through Apple, Google, or another supported billing provider. Prices, taxes, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment processing may be governed partly by that provider's terms and applicable law.

Unless stated otherwise in the purchase flow, subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled through the applicable billing platform.

12. Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of personal purchase information and files that you lawfully provide to Purchase Memory.

You grant Purchase Memory only the limited rights needed to process your content to provide features you request, such as receipt extraction, matching, backup, restore, support, security, and service operation.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload or process any receipt, invoice, screenshot, PDF, image, or other material you provide.

13. Acceptable use

You may not misuse Purchase Memory or its cloud services. Prohibited activity includes attempting unauthorized access, interfering with service operation, abusing quotas, bypassing entitlement controls, introducing malicious software, using automated systems to overload the service, or using Purchase Memory for unlawful activity.

14. Third-party services

Purchase Memory may rely on third-party providers for authentication, AI/document processing, cloud infrastructure, billing, storage, monitoring, security, and support.

Your use of Apple, Google, app stores, payment providers, or other external services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Service availability and changes

We may improve, modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for product development, security, legal compliance, provider changes, cost control, or technical reliability.

We aim to avoid changes that unnecessarily restrict access to locally stored user data.

16. Account deletion and local data

Deleting your Purchase Memory account and deleting local data are separate actions. Removing a cloud account does not automatically remove purchase history stored locally on your device.

Cloud-backup deletion may also be a separate action from account deletion, depending on the product flow and applicable retention requirements.

17. Disclaimers

Purchase Memory is provided on an “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that receipt extraction, product normalization, merchant recognition, matching, search results, backup, restore, or third-party services will always be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Purchase Memory, Jiwalu, and their service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service, including loss of data, profits, business opportunity, or device access, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

19. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Purchase Memory at any time. We may restrict or suspend cloud services where reasonably necessary for security incidents, fraud, abuse, serious violations of these Terms, non-payment, provider requirements, or legal obligations.

Suspension of cloud services does not transfer ownership of your locally stored purchase history to us.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply to you under applicable law.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Purchase Memory evolves. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where required for material changes.
